One of the most handsome houses in Calais, which was recently named one of Maine's best places to live by DownEast magazine. This circa 1830 Federal red brick house with its distinctive five-window facade faces the town's quintessential Main Street and is next door to a spacious park complete with towering shade trees and a bandstand. The house features tin ceilings, hardwood floors throughout, and 4, (yes, four!) fireplaces: in the dining room, living room, and in two of the bedrooms.
